Wearing a beanie type of hat on your head, (maybe while sleeping), it will help them lay a little flatter. And time. They will chill out in time.
As for the fuzzies, you know you just have to palm roll. If you later, once they are further along, still have some random bits of hair poking out half-way down your dreads, you can just snip them off. I had to do that some. Cut down on their fuzziness. Some hairs dread themselves with little ends sticking out, and there is nothing you can do about it.
